Protective Style 2014 1: The Big Bad Fro Returns

If you follow me on Instagram, the cat's already out the bag. I finally found an afro weave! After all these months of searching, my sister hooked me up with this lovely goody from the US:

I didn't even know Vivica Fox had a line for hair extensions!

I loved my Christmas protective style (weave and braids combo) so much I kept it in for a record 7 weeks. I usually have a 3 week itch to remove whatever style I have installed but that one was so fab I kept it in for longer. Thing is, I had removed it about two weeks before the Healthy Hair Indaba and bwas going to re-install a new style that weekend. But I delayed the session by a week as it was important to me to have my own hair out at the event. So the following week I called up the same girl who did my last style and she hooked me up with the same method, just with different hair. So it's braids in the front and a weave at the back. I can't go on more about how much I love this style. It's quick, easy, saves a massive amount of time in the mornings and gives you the braided look without the pain.

Sit still for five hours and get the worst backache of your life? Ain't nobody got time for that! Two hours. Done.

  7. Looks awesome! Does it tangle or sheds a lot? have you done any twist outs?

    1. Yup, it locks after awhile. No need for twists outs though unless to keep it detangled
